About Agapé
David Spellman and his wife, Jill, had a vision to use their love of horses to help others. In the summer of 2009, David and Jill opened their home to three foster children and recognized the impact of a loving environment coupled with equine (horse) assisted learning. Teachers and community members saw a positive change in the children’s attitudes and schoolwork. Encouragement from the community inspired David and Jill to make their dream a reality and formed the Agapé Riding Center, a non-profit organization.
Agapé’s equine assisted learning program aims to help people connect with nature and themselves. The organization helps foster families, reunites family members, creates confidence in people with disabilities and provides a healthy outlet to at-risk youth.
Services are also available to anyone interested in experiencing a horse farm -- including daycare facilities, companies wanting to reward employees and horse-lovers.
